Local Writing Support

The Berea Writers Circle (BWC) fosters local writers as artists in our community. We meet from 1:30 - 3:00 PM on the third Saturday of the month at the Berea location of the Madison County Public Library. We welcome all types of writers--novelists, poets, journalists, freelancers, short story writers, playwrights, bloggers, and any others. Whether published, self-published, or unpublished, we all strive to grow and refine our craft.

The BWC offers monthly meetings with speakers and discussions. We also coordinate critique groups, based on interest, to provide feedback for writers ready to share their work. We collaborate with the Madison County Public Library and Robie Books to host the annual Berea Book Fest. We welcome ideas for additional opportunities to support writers in our community.
